Creative Careers Week (Scotland)
Following successful campaigns in 2021-2022, Developing the Young Workforce (DYW), Creative & Cultural Skills (CCSkills) and Historic Environment Scotland (HES) will be shining a spotlight on careers in the creative and cultural industries in Creative Careers Week 2023.
Creative Careers Week 2023 is a chance for the sector to come together and showcase the wide variety of opportunities there are within the sector and inspire employees of the future.
Creative Careers Week 2023 aims to:
Raise awareness among young people, educators, parents and careers’ influencers of the breadth of roles and range of pathways available within the creative and cultural industries.
Inspire young people to consider a career in the creative and cultural industries while highlighting the breadth of roles and range of pathways available and challenge misconceptions about what a job in creative and cultural sector is.
Encourage and support employers across the creative and cultural industries to engage with young people and education through the Creative Careers Week 2023 programme.
The week 2-6th October 2023 will have three main strands of activity:
Creative Careers Week 2023 National social media campaign
National employer-led activity on DYW Live
Local employer-led activity through DYW Regional Groups
