Environmental Policy and Plan Development Session

As part of the Paid Work Placements programme, GCVS are offering community benefit sessions. In this community benefit session, we will present how to create or update your organisation’s environmental policy and plan, exploring various tools and examples. This is an in-person event at the Albany centre, at 44 Ashley Street, Glasgow.

Your tailored environmental policy and plan can become an important pillar to engage your group, plan action and set goals for climate friendly practice. Saving energy and reducing carbon emissions can reduce energy expenses – beneficial for both people and planet.

In this session we will look at what should be taken into consideration with the following elements in mind:

  • Energy usage for facilities, or to deliver local services
  • Travel and transport
  • Food and water
  • Consumption and waste

This session is aimed at Glasgow based SME, social enterprises, third sector and supported businesses on their development journey.

The Paid Work Placements programme is a partnership between GCVS, GCoC, CEMVO and Move On.
