STEM Futures at Glasgow Science Centre
Glasgow Science Centre and BAE Systems are delighted to invite you to participate in STEM Futures, an exciting programme of free workshops for young people to spark an interest in STEM and support pupils in making vital connections to the world of work.
Innovation Workshop – Ship Building – Fabrication and Manufacturing – S3 & S4
In this workshop pupils will explore Glasgow’s ship building industry as they problem solve their way through hands-on engineering challenges. Pupils will complete tasks that are essential to the build and maintenance of a ship whilst learning about careers and apprenticeships in Scotland.
This free experience will include a 1 hour innovation workshop as well as access the explore the exhibitions in the Science Mall at Glasgow Science Centre. There is also funding available to help with the cost of transport to the Science Centre of £125 per 20 pupils attending.
The workshop is running on 21st, 22nd, 27th, & 29th November 2024 and can accommodate a maximum of 60 pupils per day ( only 20 places remaining on the 29th.)
