Code Learning Work Placements

Are you seeking skilled and enthusiastic talent to fill your upcoming Digital and IT vacancies? We have an exciting opportunity for local employers like you to connect with the pools of diverse talent emerging from Glasgow Life’s Glasgow Code Learning programme through a fully-funded, paid work placement.

Glasgow City Council, Jobs & Business Glasgow (JBG) and Glasgow Life are working in collaboration to fund the full-time salary costs of up to 40 qualified Glasgow Code Learning graduates for a 4-week placement with a Glasgow City Region employer.

Host employers will receive comprehensive support and guidance from JBG that can be tailored to suit your recruitment requirements such as eligibility or credit checks, and arrangements and costs for PVG checks. The salary is paid directly to the participant by JBG at the Glasgow Living Rate.

This paid work placement offers you the opportunity to ensure that your Glasgow Code Learning preferred candidate is a positive addition to your team, with good awareness and aptitude for the job role.

The majority of candidates have a wealth of experience and qualifications and have also recently upskilled/ reskilled with Glasgow Code Learning, achieving SQA accredited qualifications in A.I. and Data Science, Cyber Security or Software Development provided by programme delivery partners Glasgow Clyde College. The candidates are also accessing employability support in preparation for the placement and their progression to employment.
