Case Study:
A group of S2 young people conducted extensive research on a business idea, ensuring that the business plan was thorough. They created a fantastic marketing campaign, which included developing a website and a mood board. In addition, they explored various funding options for the project and developed a detailed financial forecast. These young people dedicated months of their breaks and lunchtimes to this project, perfecting their presentation. The effort and financial acumen they gained from this experience will stay with them for years to come.
The young people did not win their local competition on the day of the presentation. However, their efforts did not go unnoticed, as they won the Scottish Prize, achieving first place nationally. Their comprehensive financial plan was an incredible display of thought and analysis.
One of the proudest moments for the class was witnessing the teamwork and camaraderie among some of the young people, many of whom are neurodivergent. The outstanding collaboration and support they demonstrated were truly inspiring to watch.
