DYW Glasgow Third Sector Roundtable

We had a brilliant morning at the brand-new Reidvale Dennistoun Community Centre for our third sector roundtable.

It was great to hear from our fantastic speakers. Kenneth Trainer spoke about the positive impact that has been on Bluevale Community Club through working with DYW and participating in Glasgow Chamber of Commerce’s Step Up Glasgow programme, Paid Work Placements and other initiatives. Pauline Wilson highlighted the fantastic outcomes of our Work Aware at S3 pilot, a recent project in partnership with FARE Scotland. It was great to hear that pupils have gained the confidence, skills and qualifications to help them prepare for the world of work.

Our guests also participated in some workshops where we discussed ways we can build on our existing relationships and how we can increase collaboration across the sector to ensure we make a real difference in young people’s lives.

We look forward to having more purposeful conversations this year and working with you all to ensure we come together to give back to the community.
