Made In Glasgow

Today, we were invited to the launch of Made In Glasgow – a cross-school competition held at Buchanan Galleries shopping centre.

S3 students from our Glasgow schools gained a real insight into what this social mobility programme is all about! We also heard from a fantastic selection of volunteers on their roles and career journeys, and the pathways available to them at Landsec.

Our pupils also attended some brilliant workshops this morning – focusing on Placemaking, Guest Insights, and Environmental Sustainability. They also received a guided tour of Buchanan Galleries.

In March, our pupils will go head-to-head in a ‘dragons den’ style pitch competition in the final with other schools across the country to improve and redesign Buchanan Galleries into a shopping centre for the future – focusing on how it will really benefit the community.

We can’t wait for pupils to bring their competitive spirit in the final round and looking forward to seeing their brilliant creations!
